This must be the worst error message I've ever gotten...

Let me preface this by saying I'm certain I can de-bug the problem... but I HAD to post this error message because it sounds so AWFUL, lol!!
When I allowed the DIM to update... *dramatic pause* ... it... it... KILLED A CHILD!!!
Okay, I'm going to go fix the DIM now. Even if it IS murderous.

Hmmmm, yeah I can see how that might be upsetting :ohh: ............but I have to admit part of my brain( the bad part) wonders if it was a teenager ......haveing raised 3 kids and survived 2 teenage girls ........I could sorta understand the need ;-).....
On the serious side though that could've been phrased differently "small part killed"
Well... now I'm afraid to boot Daz Studio.
It threw another (non-deadly) error upon re-installation, but it works fine. I just hope both of my kids are still breathing in the morning.
If anything happens to me, someone please tell the officials that it was my PC...
HMM... so the Uninstaller did not find the Path of install in the ini file that was created at install. The Windows Uninstall should still read the Reg path and do the Job as well if not better than the Bitrock version anyway.
EDIT: NM.
Yeah, that was the weird thing -- I've had DAZ uninstallers poop out on me before, so I went to the control panel, but Windows didn't see it either. The files were removed cleanly. When I reinstalled it, it threw an error before installing the C++ redistributable files, but after I clicked "ok," it went ahead with the C++ stuff and it was fine. I think it has something to do with the fact that I have a very small SSD C drive, and since the DIM refuses to put downloads, etc. anywhere except in the Public Documents directory (on the C drive), I've used Mklink/j to junction the public documents directory to a spot on my 2TB E drive. Somewhere in all of that, it must have gotten confused enough to murder children.
It really does work fine, though. Seemed to be an uninstaller issue, not a problem with the DIM itself.
I thank you for my GEEK not getting to geek for your thread.
One's geek can never be too geeky. :D Geek on!!
...hmmm, so much for the release of Teen Josie I guess. ;-)
