Husky dog by AM is useless

I bought the Husky dog by AM and when i try to use LAMH on it it copletley freezes my computer.

They should really put out a warnig text for this type of products.

I have used LAMH and the Catalyzer on other animals with no problem but this one is outdated
and useless....

  • The husky is not by Am, it's by another PA for AM's wolf https://www.daz3d.com/husky-for-wolf-2-0-by-am .I don't see any mention of Catalyzer files for it, so if you are using it in Iray are you exporting as OBJ? If so, make sure your settings are not too extreme.

  • It sounds as if you need a lower density of the fur on output to OBJ, so it doesn't overwhelm your system as OBJ.

  • I have a love/hate relationship with LAMH! So many animals look bald - ie: it looks like they have coloured skin but no hair - while those with LAMH at least look like they do have hair/fur, yet many are still disappointing with the LAMH. The Rodents by AM (all actually squirrels) are hell to work with due to the time delay of the LAMH following the animal (and sometimes they just don't), but the red squirrel in particular still doesn't look like an actual red squirrel once the LAMH has caught up with it as the tail doesn't look thick and bushy, but more like a pipe cleaner! What I'd like to know is is there a reason why animals can't be created with the LAMH or just actual hair/fur built in?

  • Built-in hair/fur is a lot of polygons - having a full render-level density of strands would severly tax almost any machine. That's why LaMH gives only guide hairs until it is ready to render, or to export an OBJ for use in rendering in Iray.

  • Thanks Richard. smiley
