Setting up my runtime.....again
Greetings everyone, A while back I had a HD failure that cause me to loose my organized runtime. It really set me back and I honestly stoped my 3D art creation at that point. I dreaded setting everything back up, so I decided to take a break from it.
Now, I'm getting that itch again and want to delve back into 3D art creation. However, I'm having a strage issue. I want to organize my runtime as I'm reinstalling everything. So, as a test I downloaded (using the install manager) V4 and some poses and clothing items. Everything shows up correctly in Daz but when I go to organize it, it doesn't show in 'Unassigned' or 'Scan Results'. I can add them using 'Poser Formats', 'My Poser 3D Library', where everything is installed but I can see sifting though all of that will be come very tedious the more I download and add.
Is there anything I'm missing? I seemed to rememeber there was an option somewhere to place all new items in 'Unassigned' but I can't find it. I have no problem with anything Genesis since it pretty much organizes its self. It's everything else I want to organize so I can find it! lol.
As an aside, if you have a different way of keeping your files organized please share them. As long as I can actually find things I need thats really all that matters.
Thank in advance for any assistance you can give!

Most items, at least relatively recent, should now be categorised. if they aren't you can fidn them in Poser Formats and right-click on files or folders to add them to a chosen category. Lost and Found has repalced Uncategorised.
Thanks for the info. They don't show in Lost and Found either. For instance, in Poser Formats I have a folder called 3D Unverse - V4, in it is a Ranger outfit and a police suit thats just called FC. Neither show in the Lost and Found section. Now, granted I can catagorize it from here but as I add more things its going to get harder to sift though it all. I just don't get why its not showing in Lost and Found or Uncatagorized. It was so much easier back when it would because once I catagorized it, it dissapeared from there and was easier to tell I have done it already.
There is a very good chance that anything old enough for Victoria 4 does not have the metadata necessary to automatically categorize it, and in fact I've seen the CMS miss them entirely. You will have to manually assign categories.
Yes, I know how daunting a task that is for someone with a lot of older content, or with a lot of content from other sources like Rendo or freebies. I'm in the same boat. It bothers me a little that I'm probably forgetting about content I already have because of this. So I'm slowly working through my content to ensure it's organized according to categories that make the most sense to me. :)
