Death and destruction from smiling puppies ready to rain boiling grape cool-aid on the heads of those who dare to make fun of their new doggy mullets just like every October.

October brings - cooler weather, Halloween, neat costumes for the kiddies (in all of us), my mum's bday, PC Anniversary, a crying/hiding CC, and hopefully some of my favorite spook movies on tv.

Looking at old post, it's seems like Oct is the time for the PC Anniversary sale. It looks like last year they had some crazy bundles for $5 bucks and a ton of 99 cent items.

    I can't wait!

For me October brings that very colourful time of the year when Mother Nature seems to change her colour scheme every day, and I love watching the colour changes and working out how I can get it into a render.

If the stars are right, who knows, maybe it'll bring us Day9 playing through Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs :D

Also I'm looking forward to this year's PC Anniversary Letdown. The bar is hanging low, so it may turn out very hard to get it any lower. My, I can't take all this tension....

...what does October bring? An end to my UC benefit cheques with still no solid job prospects.

I feel for you Kyoto ... I was like that most of this year, just landed some work this month and that has been slim. As a contract Engineer, cold weather brings less construction, and so less work for me. I think right now there are alot more people trying to stay afloat. I wish you luck in finding a job, I know how much it sucks to be out of work.

On the bright side, it brings fall leaves and colors, snowmen building with my lady (who is now trying to figure this all out with me :cheese:)
the smell of pumpkin pie and sugar cookies, and making pickles out of all my cucumbers!!

And the hope that my down time will be productive in learning all these programs. If all goes well then perhaps there will be a little extra cash flow and a whole lot of wild imagination and creation ('cause we all miss being a kid sometimes).

    Happy Fall everyone!

I can't say this is usual, but so far, October seems to be bringing a 100% reduction in customers for the company I work for.

October is that time of year when you still think you have plenty of time to do Halloween, Autumn, Christmas renders but before you know it, Halloween has passed, the trees are bare and February is upon you and you haven't a clue where those months went. Maybe next year.

...well the first day of October brought a break in all the stormy weather we've been experiencing for the past week. Been sunny pretty much for most of the day.

...agreed. That's when I got most of LisaB's plants and a lot of AIko3 content.

Same here. Now I'll be eligible for senior citizen discounts at some dining establishments.

I do hope Randall Lloyd's new supersuit stuff is out this month; it would be a nice birthday present.

And Hallowe'en is in the middle of vacation; I'll be free to pass out candy to the kiddies. It's always a fun holiday, especially when you live with a real live witch. I just wish she had Samantha Stevens' powers... ;-P

I recall the PC Anniversary Sale being a lot more lively than this - but then I was a PC member last year. The only things I see on the main site and here in the Commons are the "Platinum Club Power Up" and "Taste Of Platinum". Thankfully for my finances, neither really inspires me to rejoin.

Is there a lot of activity over on the "Members Only" forum? I (or rather my alter ego) quite miss that...

Edit: I thought there'd be some mention of of the PC Sale on the main landing page at http://www.daz3d.com/, but there's nothing.

Is there a lot of activity over on the "Members Only" forum?

    Yes.

    Currently, for members:
    This is free: http://www.daz3d.com/pc-mega-pack
    These are .99 http://www.daz3d.com/mega-bundle-expansion
    These are also .99 http://www.daz3d.com/west-park-parkside-sale

This new release is 5.99 http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/pc-anniversary-bundle-1

The PC Mega Pack is free for the whole month, so the expansion category may be there all month too. The now "West Park" category will change weekly, and I believe Jack said there are at least 2+ PC items slated to be released every day.

    /edit
If you click the banner at the top of the shop, you'll hit the PC sale ads.
    http://www.daz3d.com/pc-anniversary-sale-week-1

Oh, and PC members also get an extra 20% off that day's releases.

    /edit again
We also get 40% off Daz Originals as opposed to the normal 30% this month. When sales stack.. they're cheaaaap.

You should come in, we have cookies, and Jack has party hats stashed behind the nachos somewhere.
