Does V4 Wet Hair really need the David base?

I'm doing a scene of V4 walking out of a pool, so I'm using the wet skin maps. I'd also like to give her some wet hair. I found this: Wet Hair

Howver, it says that it needs the David base. Why is that? I can see it needing it if you wanted to apply it to David, but for V4?

Can anyone confirm if the hair fits as-is on V4 without the David base? I really don't want to spend another $25 to get the hair to fit if I don't have to. It's just that I don't see any other options for wet hair. (Unless someone can point me to one.)

Thanks

I can confirm, you don't need the other bases unless you wanted to use the hair on them. That is a really nice hair model, and it is awesome she included fits for so many figures, but none of them are required to use the hair with V4 except for V4 of course. Hope that helps.

I just installed V 4.2 only, and the Wet Hair. It has several CR2s. One for each character. I applied the V4 CR2 just fine without having David installed.

Thanks so much! That's exactly what I wanted to know.

FWIW, that's a common situation on the store pages: sometimes, that "required" section doesn't mean "you must have that to make this work", it means "you can use this with any of those". Depending on what the item is and how it was made, you could have one object with morphs to fit multiple figures, or (more usually with small props or some hair) multiple versions of the object, one to fit each figure type. If the description on the store page isn't very clear, open the "What's Included" tab and check what it says there.
