What are good YouTube channels for learning to create content?

What are good YouTube channels for learning to create content for DS? Also is it possible to upload videos to YouTube that are not public but for my use only?

Anything by SickleYield is always good ;works fast so you have to pay attention!  Also yes, you can upload video to youtube without making it public.  It's a checkbox on the list.

  • The youtube channel of Josh Darling is a good place to watch for Daz Studio videos.

    Here is SickleYield's channel.

I agree with SickleYield and Josh as already mentioned.

The Daz 3D Channel has some basic videos about using tools within Studio.

Also, Jen Greenlees has several good videos. Some of them are a little older, but the topics still apply, the UI may just have been updated a bit since she posted them.

Finally, WP Guru has some Daz Studio videos as well although many of them are more about using Studio than creating content.

Clothes, hair, poses, props, and maybe original figures.

I am thinking of making a piece of software that can basically bridge content among 3D software.  So basically at first I would like to get familar with Daz Studio content creation such as making an original figure and the clothing, hair, textures, morphs, and something else I am forgetting for the new figure and also a way to convert this newly created content to Genesis # and also to figure out how to convert the Genesis # content to the new figure.

You mean like PolyTrans, but for DAZ Studio/Poser content?  That's going to be a HUGE amount of work, as EVERY generation has differences to support.  Not to mention the differences in how the figures are handled (weight-mapped vs. Triax, etc.)

There is a reason why most of the commercial products here to convert between figures ONLY support a One-to-One conversion......it's a very complex operation.
