Differences between Genesis 2, 3..?

Hi everyone!

Sorry if this question had already been placed but I haven't seen anything regarding it.

I'm a complete newb. I'm currently reading and learning through tutorials..

What's the difference between the several Genesis characters? Is it definition? Textures styles?

I really have no idea.

Thank you so much for the help you can provide!

Truly appreciate it!

Well first there was genesis,  a totally new way of making the human figures for Daz Studio.  He/She was androgenous could be either male female or monster

THen came further improvement with Genesis 2, whcih went back to being 2 figures  male and female.

Genesis 3 again showed more development,  and a different way of mapping the figure  and Genesis 8 carried on with the development.

So it's an onward progression,  with each generation of Genesis getting more.......... umm ............... sophisticated / advanced / state of the art / cutting edge or whatever adjective you care to call it.

  • Thank you so much Chohole.

    Now I get it :)

    I found this useful: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/24257/daz-3d-human-figures-a-history/p1

To start out, I'd recommend picking either Genesis 3 or Genesis 8 and sticking with only that for a while.
