Has anyone used this product?  Can it really be applied to any hair product?

I tried the long hair D-force product, it seems to be a bit reasource heavy (It took mine over an hour to get 50%) to get it to simulate.

Hair is not ideal for dForce. There are some hairs in the stores that were created so they will work better in dForce compared to your regular hair, but even those only work very limited. However, the product usually improves the chances of avoiding an explosion.

Once again I'm surprised at the lack of documentation for many Daz products. I bought this as it was on sale, but have no way to understand how it works. Where are the controls? I want to use this for animation so that hair would react to gravity as a character moves their head. Would it work for this? There's no way of knowing until I buy it.

Daz needs to demand better documentation from it's suppliers and post them on the product page. It should also have a spot on each product page for reviews of that product and tips on how to use it.

    It comes with a documentation-PDF: /ReadMe's/49199_dForce-master—hair-simulation-presets-for-dForce-cloth-engine.pdf

Also, there's a product thread by the PA: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/211261/dforce-master-hairforce-mega-thread-commerical/p1

General threads about dforce over in the Commons section of the forum:

As for animation, it's usually best to use dForce within a timeline anyway, so animation in itself should be no problem with anything dForce.

I did find that read-me previously, but it's basically the same text as the description on fhe product page. Thanks for that link to another thread. It didn't come up when I have previously searched the forums for "Dforce hair." Maybe Daz can consider presenting links to relevant forum threads on each corresponding product page?

You could use a support ticket to customer support to suggest this. Here, we are just other forumites trying to help you out - customer to customer, so to speak. If you want DAZ to read something, CS is the way to go.

As for the links, there's a 3rd party plugin called "DAZ Deals" http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/106296/announcing-daz-deals-browser-add-on/p1

It adds a ton of functionality to your browser and amongst them is a direct link to the REadMes, and all forum threads that are related to the product. It also gives you additional sorting actions, like sorting by wishlist or PC+ coupons.
