Top portion of render faint?

Anyone else have a render come out with the top half only faintly visible.  The head and torso are faint then a straigh light below which the figure is fully rendered.

    I had something like that some time ago but it just went away after a while and I don't know what caused it or what fixed it. From what I can remember there were one or two scene files that always rendered like that and I gave up on them.

    Does changing the camera angle change the position of the line?

    I haven't tried changing the camera angle. I did try to change the keyframe for this animated sequence and that had no effect.  Quitting and restarting the app did so now it does render the whole frame.

    Are you rendering with 2 video cards? That's what caused it for me, but it was extremely rare and just making a small change to the scene fixed it. I never did figure out the cause.
