On some of the icons that are framed in yellow on the upper left corner there is a type of scroll. What does it mean?

Also most of my randers come out full or full screen but once in awhile I will get a box around it. Moving the camera back I end up on the outside ot the cellar. Can anything be done to get a full screen?

The scroll in the upper left corner means that there is a DS script that will be used instead of the Poser file -- this is usually so that when you load the item in DS the material settings will be optimized for DS.

If you go to Render > Render Settings you can set the desired size. On the viewport, use the options menu (the rectangle with horizontal lines) to select "Show Aspect Frame" -- that will show a dotted line around the area that will appear in the render.
