How do I use HDR (image based lights)?

I found a bunch of free HDR images in a subscription based site that has quite a few free ones to use. Right now my computer is booting but I can try to get screenshots of the files after dinner.

You can manually load them into the Environment portion of your Render Settings. I've used several from HDRI Haven and other sites this way. If you want to make it easier on yourself, if there are some you think you'll use more than once, you can save it as a Render Settings Preset to be able to load it without having to browse for the file again.
