How do we hide Parts in DS4?

I’m wondering how do we hide parts in Daz Studio, I have an interior scene where some of the items are blocking my view to pose the character in the scene. I just need to hide the parts to adjust the character but not for the final rendering.

Thanks,

In the Scene tab, click on the Eyeball icon next to the item to hide it. Just remember to uncheck it before you render. :)

Also helpful, the checkmark icon next to an item in the Scene tab controls whether you can click on it in the scene to select it or not. I often turn this off for the room and other large parts of the scene (e.g. plants and such) so that I don't keep getting all the yellow highlights when I'm mousing over things.

Final tip (I keep thinking of things), I always create a Camera that I'm going to render from. Typically i then set the Auxillary Viewport to view that camera. That leaves me free to use the Perspective View to move around the scene however I want, then I just have to switch back to the camera view before I render.

    Good stuff!   Thx.

  • Oh wow, that's what the checkmark does? Thank you for commenting JonnyRay and giving out that info, I always just hide walls and stuff that get in the way while I'm posing something, and then I'd say a good solid 50% of the time I forget to turn it back on before rendering lol. This will help out so much!
