Daz Studio always closing unexpectedly

Hello.

I'm new at daz studio, just starting to learn now. But I'm having a big problem.

Daz is always going down. The message that appears is just "the program unexpectedly closed". If I'm working without saving, it happens like for 2 in 2 minutes. If I save after each action I do doesn't happen so much... but takes me lots of time of work... And if I use lights or cameras.... well, I don't... it goes down immediately...
Has I said, I'm just starting to learn, so I'm just using original presets from daz, just taking basic tutorials to learn... But this is really boring...
Can someone help me please?

I'm working in a mac os x 10.8.2, i7 2.6 with 8gb

Check if the error log brings something up.
    Help>troubleshooting>view log file

What version is your DAZ and are you using 32 or 64 bit?
    Have you tried a re-install?

I'm using the 64bit version. Can it have something to do with that?

Didn't try to re-install yet... Have so kind of paranoid with re-installing without formating all the computer, but maybe is time to lose it.
I'm really enjoying learning daz and didn't even got to the most funny part, so I will try and see if it helps.

    Thank you

Your processor and RAM are looking fine (don't ask me about macs) - but what about your video card?
As you said lights and cameras are triggering the shutdown ... maybe the opengl version of your videocard is not up to date? Updating the drivers may help.

My video card is a GeForce GT 650M 1024MI (don't really know how good it is for 3d work)

It happens always if I don't save, but lights and cameras are really the worst. Yesterday I end up being able to do it, but after the daz goes down like 10 times or more everytime I added a camera... I'm really liking this program, so I want to solve this.

I will try to update the video card before the re-install.

Thank you for the answers. :)

The only time your GC plays a part is for viewing and using Daz Studio it has no effect on Rendering. So from my limited knowledge if you get crashes when adding things to a scene then it could be down to the GC/OpenGL.
