Can you use Victoria 4/ Michael clothing 4 on Genesis 5 models?

Not sure quite what you're asking, but if you want to know if Genesis characters that say they require Victoria 5 or Michael 5 can use Victoria 4 or Michael 4 instead, then shapewise that's possible using V4 and M4 Shapes for Genesis -- just dial the V5 or M5 morphs to 0% in the Parameters tab (you can skip this step if they're not installed) then dial the V4 or M4 morphs up to (or near, they're not the same shape so you may not want all of it) 100%.
However, both V5 and M5 come with their own UV sets -- using a character product that relies on that you might not be able to use the skin textures without the generation 5 product installed. Hope that helps!
Skin textures for M4 or V4 can be used on Genesis. Morphs need to be converted using "Genesis Generation X".
Out of the box or using AutoFit?
well either. Preferbly out of the box.
You don't need Genesis shapes to make Gen4 stuff fit Genesis. Load the model, load the clothes, if they don't fit, select them under the scene tab and then under parameters tab, use misc and do a fit to. You can tweak any problems with the clothes morphs.
A caveat here is Genesis 2 Female, which doesn't support Victoria 4 clothes immediately. There is however an excellent clone figure made by a PA which you can get to allow you to convert all V4 clothing to Genesis 2.
