How do we reset the The Universal Tool in Daz Studio & looking for a simple pose?

I need to know is it possible to take a premade pose where the The Universal Tool is positioned off-set to the character by a ways and reset The Universal Tool so it is closer to the character, if so How do I go about resetting it?

Also I’m looking for a simple Pose of a Character sitting in a chair with the legs straight forward and both feet on the ground and sitting up.

Thanks,

  • You mean if the figure is offset from the skeelton, so that with the figure selected the tool gizmo is away from the model? This indicates that the figure has been moved with the Hip, or whatever the root bone is, and can be fixed by removing the x and z translations from the Hip and applying them to the figure.

The Red Arrow Shows where the Universal Tool/ Tool Gizmo as it is with a premade pose but I need it closer to the figure/character (about where the Green Arrow is) so I can fine tune the character to the chair in my scene.

  • Is that a pose intended for use with a particular item? It looks like it. In any event, select the hip and translate it down to the origin (or just zero the translations of the hip and adjust from there - you will probably need an negative value for the y-translation.

it is not the intended pose for the particular item that I'm using but it is the closest pose that I have to adjust the figure.

Whenever asking a question such as this, Turk, it is important that you identify the figure that you are using. Although poses can be adapted from one figure to another, they generally will not translate perfectly automatically. So, is it Genesis 8 Male? Genesis 3 Male? Etc.

Sorry, I wasn't thinking in that detail when I wrote the question, but I need the pose for both Genesis 8 Male & Genesis 3 Male, I'm slowly switching from Genesis 3 to Genesis 8.
