Whats the proper way to save a scene?

Okay, I can save the scenes, but the next time I open them the HDR and render settings are never the same as when saved.

Must I save a renderpreset with every scene?

    In Edit>Preferences (Daz Studio>Preferences on a Mac) go to the Scene tab and check that it is set to save render settings with scenes and not to ignore them on loading scenes.
