Renders of Ikki Tousen character. Any help please?
So I am trying to do a few renders of the 'Ikki Tousen' character 'Kanu Unchou'. For anyone unfamiliar with what Ikki Tousen is its an anime series. So here is basically what I am trying to create in terms of the clothing and hair (no nudity): http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs25/f/2008/035/b/1/Kanu_Unchou_by_Joseluisbelmont.jpg the action figures are the best images to use to show clearer what she is wearing.
another one here (no nudity): http://i31.tinypic.com/w053dd.jpg
I am looking to do a whole series of my own poses and situations for her. Most of the clothing items seem like they would have to be created totally so what would be the best way to do this as I have never really messed around with doing this but am told its possible.
I think the very long hair may be hard to create. What do you guys think? any idea's how to do the hair? look in the second pic to see it. It appears to be tied near the end also.
So what you guys think about this? :D:D

If you want to quickly create the clothing, but don't have any experience modeling, DressShop (Available here at DAZ) is a great little program to get you started. You can use either the base meshes provided with program, or you can load a vendor's obj file into the program (which is the route I would suggest for the pleated skirt) which you can then modify, such as shortening it, lengthening it, or cutting out pieces for that "battle damage" look. The top would be much easier to deal with. As for the hair, PhilC has a hair designer available on his website that likely has all the settings you need to emulate the hair (but it is for Poser.) Otherwise, you may need to take up the task of modeling it yourselg, finding hair that is "close enough," or getting someone to model it for you.
There have been a couple of sailor uniforms that might work (although you'll probably need to make your own transmap to shorten it sufficiently): See if any of these you have (or like):
Billy-T's http://www.daz3d.com/sailor-uniform for A3
Possibly the http://www.daz3d.com/kumiko for V4/A4
Or the http://www.daz3d.com/japanese-school-uniform
Nekoja's http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/nekojas-sailor-suit-for-victoria-4/58789/
http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/rg-sailor-school-uniform-for-v4a4g4elite/76177
http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/school-uniforms/96531/
Possibly even 3D-Age's http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/school-girl-ii/93714 for V4...
Most of these will require some transmap work though. There was another "ragged" one somewhere that I can't find just now... I can vaguely recall the promo, but can't seem to find the product >_<.

Hair is going to be a bit more tricky...
Double Threads Merged. I'm thinking it was a Posting hic up.
In relation to clothes, check this link:
ShortSailor for V4/A4/G4/Elite
I think it's very similar to what you're looking for.
hey thanks for this. I see the http://www.daz3d.com/sailor-uniform is almost spot on except for I also see this is for Aiko3 would that make this pretty much un-usable for daz 4 being Aiko3 is much older and there's already an Aiko5. You think you could put this Aiko3 outfit on Aiko5 in Daz4?
also you think maybe these things could be altered in the Aiko3 outfit:
-shirt length reduced 5 or so inches above the belly
-tie around her neck changed to yellow rather than red
-white line design across the rim of the skirt removed so skirt is purely just blue
Thanks again it was a good find. I don't know how I missed it.

EDIT: thankyou also coqueyo thats awesome! I may use this one.
Ah, Coqueyo named the one I was thinking of but couldn't find >_<.

In case you're still interested...
As it turns out, the shirt has a very convenient UV-map, such that you only need to twiddle with the Opacity map in the LIE to achieve the "cutoff" look below (shift Y axis up about 64 units to get the shirt the height in the pic).
Neck tie uses Diffuse colour - therefore easy to change to yellow.
White line design also uses Diffuse colour - therefore easy to change to blue.
The skirt does tend to "blow up" depending on the pose of the legs... when I previously used a more "spread legged" pose like in your pics, the skirt went all over the place - I suspect that it could be fixed using some of SickleYield's tools, but I didn't want to spend too much time on it, in case you were going with Coqueyo's outfit instead.

thanks! but yes I think I will use Coqueyo's outfit as this one seems the best but I appreciate the help still. I'm really at a loss about the hair though it is exeptionally long and unusual. You think someone could even take a little time to do it for me? I don't mind paying them something through paypal for their work. As long as the price is reasonable of course. Is there a part of this forum where people submit free requests or ones they are willing to pay for? where is it best to ask for this please? thanks.
