Question about the Pretty3D Hot Work outfit

SimonJMSimonJM Posts: 5,997

I am not going to get it, but out of curiosity I had a look and aftergoing through al the promo images for Hot Work Costume, then the product description, and back ot the promo images I decided I was confused.  I think every figure showed in the promos as wearing some form of hosiery but there is no such item listed.  And yet, there ARE 3 stocking matrials listed.  So, are they ani tem, a L.I.E., or what?

  • since they say G8F stockings color where as other textures name the clothing I would assume are LIE or geoshell textures for the G8F

    It's a pretty clever solution. There is a "legs" surface that just covers the stocking area. To apply, you just need to have the G8F figure selected then double click the desired stocking color from the Hot Work materials.

    Sounds like a L.I.E. solution, thank you both.

    @SimonJM

    I don't think it's an actual L.I.E solution because it appears immediately upon applying the shader/material. I believe it just takes advantage of a standard Mat Zone in the G8F model.

    I applied it to a figure from Sabby, then to experiment went to the Surfaces tab, selected the Surfaces:Leg (see attached), changed the base color and duplicated the effect from the Pretty 3D product.

    Thanks. If I had been inclined to get the product this would have changed my mind!
