Referencing jpg files in the surface tab

I am trying to learn DAZ's surface tab, but have a question regarding wanting to point to a specific jpg file for a texture.
Example: I have Hair X applied to a V4 character; however, instead of using any of the available pose files hair textures, I want to reference a specific merchant resource jpg file (let's say blonde01.jpg). Is there a way to do that?, and if so, how?
Sorry to sound like a noob, but after spending 10+ years learning poser...I don't want to give up some of the files....lol

Yes, you need the Editor tab of the Surfaces pane with the hair selected. In the list on the left of of the Editor tab you can select the surfae(s) you want to modify (or you can use the Surface Selection tool). Once you have thingss elected you will see a list of properties on the right, next to some sliders/colour bars there will be a square with a micro-thumbnail (if a map isa lready applied) or a Daz logo (mappable but not currently mapped) - clicking will show a menu offerig Browse... (which si the oen you want) and several other commands, plus a list of maps already loaded from which to select.
Awesome, thank you very much!!
Just wanted to add to Richard’s answer one particularly useful thing – you can drag and drop images from windows explorer. I find this to be much faster in many circumstances.
