Posing obj files in Daz

edited December 1969 in New Users

I downloaded http://www.daz3d.com/skeleton and http://www.daz3d.com/dragon-skeleton-articulate-vertebrae. When I open them in Daz 4.5 and 4.6 I can only translate, rotate and scale them; there are no options to pose individual joints. What am I missing?

It sounds as if you are importing just the OBJ, not the CR2 file with the rigging information (which should be under Poser Formats>Figures> in the Content Library pane (as long as the folder you installed to is one set as a Poser Content Directory in DAZ Studio).

You probably need to use the Active Pose Tool (Alt+Shift+P).

Both of these items are quite old, but for the dragon at least, it says that there is a pose included. You would need to look in the same library in the Pose folder for that.

The human skeleton is made for Poser, and it may have poses as well in the Pose folder in the Content Library, under Poser Formats > My DAZ 3D Library > Pose.

That was just what I needed, thank you!
