Smoothing modifier clothes mess up when DAZ reopened

Hi DAZ experts,
I've been having this problem for a while, whenever I load a piece of clothing that's originally for V4 on G3F using Wear Them All, and then I apply a smoothing modifier, everything's fine. However, when I close DAZ and reopen it and load the scene, the clothes now have this weird protrusion (like in the attachment) that can only go away if I turn off smoothing modifiers, or load a new piece of the same clothing and put a smoothing modifier on. These two ways are unfavorable of course, so how I do avoid having the original pieces of clothing from messing up? It only affects clothes that were fitted using Wear Them All.

Try changing the Smoothing Type to Generic this sometimes helps.
Thanks, that worked!
