i am having A LOT of trouble with this character. Not everything is right, there are other things wrng, but the worst, most infuraiting thing, is his eyes and I do not know what to do about them.
Someone suggested make them wider but I don't know how to do that without making them bigger in general.
Can someone give me some tips?
Oh and not to mention, they look okay before they're rendered
When they get rendered, they get bad/ too small/ make me angry.
So below I have included unrendered, most recent rendered, and various pics of the guy I'm trying to do.
Also, please don't mention his nose. It still isn't perfect but believe it or not sometimes it does look accurate so I don't wanna screw with it right now.
edit:
ugh the picture order got messed up

I think it's more the eybrows than the eyes themselves. Castiel's brows don't arch, even when he's pissed off. They stay parallel with his eyes and go downwards at the ends. He always has this sad puppy look to him. Other than that, he does have pretty tiny eyes- Misha I mean, not just your portrayal of him. lol

OK, take a deep breath and step away from the computer. Time to go outside and take a few breathes of fresh air, LOL.

Actually not a bad likeness of Castiel. IMO the lighting is what is hurting the likeness more. I personally don't get into the celebrity likeness deal as they rarely look like the real deal and when you pose them it gets even worse, so be happy with what you have, it looks good.

I tried moving them and he still looks weird...
I made two more (both of them have nudity, one is more covered, I just don't know if I can post the other but I will)
the second of which I messed with the expression of the eye rather than the shape and I don't know if that's better or worse but it sure doesn't seem any better.

Very true, you can have the most convincing look a like, either purchased or homemade.
As soon as you touch the expression dials, there s a 99% chance you lost it all.
The stock expressions for any prebuilt figure, are never going cover the vast number of complex expressions of billions of real people.
Realistic facial expressions is one of the biggest short comings in all but the most advanced CG, its very hard to get it right and a lot of the time they look quite bad ( crude / cartoonish /over exadurated etc.)
