The Girl 6/ V6 Question

After my question a week or so about Install Manager its now working well for me. I've also downloaded a copy of Daz 4.6 which I'm running alongside Daz 3. I also have the basic Genesis character and some morphs.

Looking at the new products there is some really cool stuff for The Girl 6 and V6. What do I need to get these to work? Can I download them and load the morphs onto Genesis or do I need to downloaded a new Genesis 2 figure - if so where do I download it from?

If I download this:

Will it work on the basic Genesis figure?

Any help much appreciated!

    In your Product Library, there are 2 installers for content. One has the Genesis figure. The second one has Genesis 2 Female.

    The product you are interested in requires the Genesis 2 Female.

    Do I need to buy the Genesis 2 figure or will it come as part of The Girl 6?

    Genesis 2 comes free with DAZ Studio 4.6

    The file you need is called 'Genesis 2 Female Starter Essentials', and it should be in your My Account area under Product Library. Just install it first (also install Genesis Starter Essentials from the same place to get the original Genesis and it's fee items)

    Okay, I've added Daz 4.6 and will download this later - and this includes the Genesis 2 figure free of charge? So all I need to buy to get it working is the Girl 6 Starter Pack?

    Pretty much yes.

    Once you download and install DS 4.6, Genesis Starter Essentials and Genesis 2 Female Starter Essentials you can then add The Girl 6. You can then either add a Genesis 2 Female figure to the scene and morph it with the Girl 6 shapes on the shaping tab or you should have a Girl 6 figure in your Smart Content that will load an already morphed figure for you.

    Okay I have now downloaded DS4.6 and Genesis Starter pack. I try load Genesis 2 and get this error message saying the following files could not be found:

    /data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Female/Genesis2Female.dsf

    The character then loads but looks like the attached.

    Any ideas how I sort this out?

    You need to map your install location for DIM into DAZ Studio.

    DIM installs to c:/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library by default. You need to add this location to the content directory manager for both DAZ Studio Formats and Poser Formats.

    Thanks for that Daz_Jared - Genesis 2 is now loading.
