So, i got the Wonderous Wares set http://www.daz3d.com/wonderous-wares
and it looks glorious in Daz Studio, absolutely perfection....
Except I kinda got the idea that they were using shaders not just textures... I was hoping to use those gorgeous glass settings on other things too! ERK.
So I look at http://www.daz3d.com/metalized-glass-shaders-for-daz-studio
Also looks absolutely amazing, and are shaders...
thing is, i gotta return one to get the other.... and Wonderous Wares is just STUNNING...but.... SHADERS.... ARG! I use shaders on everything... single containers, not as much...but but.... they do have water and various liquids and such...but...
BRAIN MELT!!!!! I can't decide which one!!!
Okay, any of you folks have both??/ what do the Metalized glass shaders look like on a jar or glass container with light inside? Can it make an approximate liquid?
I live and breath shaders ;)
but I will not lie.... the wonderous wares are pretty darn amazing... better than life I'd even say!!
So I need help deciding T_T
what do you guys think?

These are the Amber and some blue shader from the metalized glass set. It isn't just about iridescent shades

I have both sets but I am not sure what kind of render you are asking for. I did try a simple sphere with the Amber shader on it and a light (point light) inside and it didn't turn out so good. Need lights outside I think.
While I was looking at the Amber chess piece render I thought to myself it would make a good liquid, like scotch whiskey, shader in a bottle. I imagine I could put a simple cylinder in a bottle and put the shader on it. I can try that and see what that looks like.
If I could keep only one I'd keep the shaders, I can use those for anything.
Not sure if this is what you had in mind but here's a quick render using one of the vases from the Wonderous Wares. Left is its default settings and right is with one of the Metalized Glass shaders applied. Rendered using the UE light provided with Metalized glass and nothing done to make the object fit in the room.
I've got both, and they are both amazing. If you have to chose one, I would suggest the metalized glass shaders. They render so beautifully and can be used on anything. You probably already have other containers in your runtime that you can use the shaders on.
