DAZ Install Manager and DAZ 4.10

Okay, what am I missing here?

I'll list the steps and perhaps someone can tell me if I'm doing something wrong, or if this is the way it is supposed to work...

  1. I make a purchase at DAZ3D.com
  2. I run DAZ Install Manager
  3. In the 1st tab, I select everything, and at the bottom I click on the install after download option, then I click the green button
  4. Once it has downloaded and installed everything, I exit DIM
  5. I run DAZ3D 4.10
  6. In the install tab it shows everything I just bought and installed in DIM, however, there's the circle with the down-arrow (meaning it wants me to download it).
  7. So, I select everything and click Install Selected

It seems to me that DIM should install everything.  Step 7 above seems redundant.

And, for what it is worth...

I do install to a custom path, and that path is the same in DIM as it is in DAZ3D 4.10.

Scratching my head,

Brent

P.S.  Merry Christmas to everyone!

  • In DS, is the thumbnail grey or coloured? If it's coloured that's fine - it indicates that you can install that via Connect (instead of using the DIM version) but not that you have to. If it's grey, and if double-clicking starts a download, then it's not right. One thing I would note, closing DIM and starting DS immediately after (or vice versa) can lead to the CMS not running correctly, it's best either to start one (and have it up) before closing the other (if you do) or to make sure that the first application adn all instances of PostgreSQL have closed (in task Manager or Process Explorer) before starting the second.
