Does the proress bar work for anyone? I've bought nurses uniforms and the two freebies and it stil registers as 0 of 6 products

The progress bar for me looks like it's increasing - but I've got the mega pack, West Park Ailments and just bought 3 PC items, so that's 5 points, but it still says only 1 of 6 products - so it doesn't look as though it's updating properly, unless it's just taking a bit of time...

What were the 3 other PC items.. the Mad Nurse ones?

There is some confusion over the mega-packs eligibility, so I'm waiting on clarification.

ParkSide Head, Parkside Head Interior, Quickening Decay for Parkside Head Interior.

Reading the main post of this thread would I be correct in thinking then that only some of the PC items qualify each week? I had initially thought points would apply to any PC item, but it seems not, they change everyday - is that correct?

That's correct, only the products listed on that promo page are eligible (so the 99c ones aren't, sadly)

    Thanks very much Jack:)

Since I got the Mega Pack and WestPark ailments though, it should say 2 of 6 items right, not 1 of 6 items?

It seems the mega-pack isn't being counted, and there's two different opinions depending on which banner ad you read.. I've asked DAZ to clarify and fix either one depending on the outcome :)

Bother, these kind of promotions really don't encourage me to buy.... "buy a lot of cheap stuff you probably don't need or want right now...but its cheap and you can get a mystery surprise! or discounts on things" that never works for me. If I have money to buy all those things to get enough points, i'd rather put that towards a few products that I absolutely need to use.

These can be fun games for people with extra funds who don't mind paying extra to get to the "meat" of the sale/party, but sales like "buy one, get one free (and not from a list of a few things, that you may or may not already own) are a much better incentive for me. Or last month, when everything was discounted. if Daz was to have, say, "buy one, get one equal or lesser value" for Daz originals, for example, I'd totally be on that wagon. or a solid 50% off Daz O's. I'd be on that wagon too. Or "renew your membership, get a 50% off any cart of Daz O's. Things like that.

Deals like "buy what we tell you to, every day, to get something mystery" doesn't really appeal. Nor do many of the coupons lately that say "spend at least $$$ to get coupon for $ off".

Last month was awesomeness. Straight up sale prices, at least if you're a PC member, slightly more costly to non pc members, and coupons off as well. Last month was great, best sale of the year so far! Looking forward to more from the PC anniversary but I hope it's not all dependent on buying PC items. I get plenty of PC things, and I have several west park things, and i just bought a couple PC items last week. But i get them when i need them, and not a "pay this much to get a PC reward" which is basically what this type of event boils down to.

    Still, watching with interest!

But the weekly rewards are listed, it's only the multi-week mega reward(s) that are shrouded in mystery/Jack's beard. And you get two points for the freebies, so you'd need to buy only four (out of seven) regular Platinum Club items, which you presumably often buy at least some of anway, to get the tier-one reward - and at least today there's also a PA item that will get a point.

I just mean that I prefer more freedom in sales for options. I am having a great deal of fun browsing the parkside things I don't have yet... but I am more interested in those older PC items (some of those parkside ones, i must have missed, there's several i don't remember seeing before). Too bad there's no points for buying older items! but being on sale as they are I can see why they wouldn't count.... still. Open range browsing suits me way more. :)

If Megapack is giving a point, it doesn't give it to me -_- I've bought one of Nurses outfits (Genesis), Ailments and Mega-pack but only got 1 point out of it.

If I might make a request to the programming staff for a future site update...

The site doesn't indicate if you own an item until you actually click on the item... which makes it tedious to figure out what you do own in sales where a whole mass of older items are tossed at you and you have a 500 gb runtime. (Yeah, yeah, I know, somebody shoot me).

Anyway, if that indicator could be stuck on the main listing page itself it would be a real help.

Sounds about right, if like you say bought the Nurses outfit when it was released [wrongly] that would account for the missing point... the mega-pack I don't think should be giving a point, so it's just that Nurses point you're missing I think.

Actually, according to the scrolling banner. The Mega pack should give a point. Unless they have made a mistake there of course :)

Hmm.. when looking at the actual page for the Platinum Club Power Up, it says that the mega pack don't give, but as said above, the scrolling banner claims it is worth 1 point. Though that do explains why I only had 2 points from getting that, the nurse outfit and the Ailments.

Nothing agianst you or the PC club Jack, but perhaps you should bonk the ones that are incharge of the banner, so they learn to actual put things right? *smiles teasingly* Specially since not everyone will read the fine text about the mga pack on the Power UP page. Might help with less angry customers after all :)

I was (just in case) referring this post, - it wasn't entirely clear but that post might have meant that Megapack gives a point.

We are so excited to announce the Platinum Club Power Up as part of the PC Anniversary Sale. This year's anniversary sale should be better than ever with the Power of Platinum Club. So here's how it works: Each week every customer will be given the opportunity to earn power up points throughout the week. These points are earned by purchasing items that are part of the Platinum Club Power Up sale. If you get enough points at the end of the week you will be eligible for a reward. Each week week there will have two rewards tier 1 and tier 2. 6 points gets you to tier 1 while 12 points gets you to tier 2.

So what items are part of the Platinum Club Power Up sale? Every day there will be 4ish new releases. These new releases will give you points if you purchase them at any time during the week they are released. If you are a Platinum Club member you will get an additional 20% off those new releases (only on the day they are released).

Fortunately we have an awesome page to help you keep track of your points each week. It is the Platinum Club Power Up page. This page allows you to see at a glance how many points you have, what rewards you are working towards, and what items are part of the Power Up PC sale.

    Now to the fine print:
    - 1 point is given for each Platinum Club Power Up item purchased.
    - Points earned in a week are only eligible for that week, they don't roll over. Make sure you have enough points for each week to get the reward that you want.
    - If you purchase an item and return it, you lose your points earned for that item.
    - Once you redeem your points for rewards you won't be able to return the items that earned you the points.
    - Rewards for points are issued after the close of each week.
    - If you earn rewards for 3/4 weeks of the Platinum Club Power Up Sale you will be eligible for a super bonus prize thingy.
    - You must have fun. This is more of a guideline than a rule, but the sale is set up to be fun, and we hope you all have fun participating in it.

When we get enough point to power up do we have to jump and hit a floating box over our heads to pop out a mushroom?

The Megapack does not count for a power up point. The sliding banner has been updated to reflect that. The only items that qualify for power up points are the items on listed on this page: http://www.daz3d.com/pc-anniversary-sale-week-1

Right now, since today is the first day, there are only 4 items. As more and more items are released the list will increase. Each item is specific to a week. It will only give you points for the week that it is part of. In order to get the points you have to purchase it before the week is up. The dates are listed for each week in the tab. There is a little bit of leeway, so you have an extra day or two for each week to get the points you need.

Sooo..if I buy all PC items released today and get the freebie, I only have to buy 8 more items to get the tier 2 reward, correct?

But what about the big mega mystery reward at the end - do we need to get 3 weeks worth of tier 2 rewards or just 3 weeks worth of rewards?

Finally, would I be right if I assumed that there is currently no sort of extra incentive to renew PC annual subscriptions, like in some previous years?
And if that's correct, do yourself a favor and keep it that way. If there's an annual-subscription-related boon in, like, week 3 of this promotion, customer service will not hear the end of it. :D

Do you have to buy everything to fill your bar completely? or can you skip things? Because there are obviously going to be products that do not interest people, like I have no use for one of them myself currently.

So at the moment I have 3 points, one of the items that gives a point I have no use for so not buying it, Will there be more items than points needed to fill your bar during each period of time? (just making sure that this is not a 'buy everything to get the "prize" at the end thing.)

Just trying to make sure that there is going to be more than two products released between now and the 10th that will qualify.

Yes, they'll be 9 PC items in any given 'week' plus PA items.. so I'm sure you'll be able to fill it :)

You need either 6/12 points to unlock tier 1/2.. how you get there though is entirely up to you :)
