Renders too bright?

I'm horrible at lighting so I recently tried picking up some light sets from the Daz3d store to try and make it easier on me. The viewport before rendering look great, but when I try and render them they're so washed out that everything just appears hot white. It's not one specific light set, it's multiple ones from different vendors so the problem must lie with me. I just started using Daz3d from Poser so I have no idea what the issue is.
I've left render settings default and literally I load one prop and the light set and it gets severely washed out. I'm using Nvidia IRAY with an RTX 2080 if that makes a difference. Does anyone have any hints?

First, try the simple test of
1) make a scene with a figure in it.
2) go to the Render Tab and click on default
3) select the camera in the Scene Tab, go to Paremeters and at the botton, tell Headlamp to be off
4) Render and see if it is too bright
5) add an iray light and render again... it should be brighter
6) report on your results.
Thanks for responding Nemesis. I have no idea what's going on. I quit and tried it again and now magically everything looks as it should, even though I didn't even get a chance to follow your steps. Thanks for your help though. I honestly have no clue what happened.
So I figured out what was going on, in case anyone else runs into this in the future. Somehow I had it set to reload HDRI and render settings upon open so when I tried to load up a new scene with new lights, everything was subsequently washed out. It went back to normal once I turned render to default.
