[SOLVED] Struggling with the Fairytale Prince posable regions on G8M

I'm trying to pose the Fairytale Prince jacket but can't figure out why the posable regions shown in the promo images won't work...

I'm using it on a Gen 8 character, and I can't get the posable bits to work with either an autofit G3 jacket or the jacket that I ran through the G3 to G8 converter. (I didn't try the whole pose-then-transfer-rigging manual thing because the character is already posed.) I though it was gonna take a weird tool I'd never used, but I figured it out on a G3M with no problems...

So...how do I get it to work, or is it just broken forever because of the way G3 things fit on G8 characters?

    This item probably uses custom bones which were lost when you autofitted it to G8.

    You could try a manual conversion using SY's method, I think it keeps custom bones: https://www.deviantart.com/sickleyield/journal/Tutorial-Convert-Clothing-G3-to-G8-G8-to-G3-686682065

    Had no idea about the bones thing... God, this learning curve...

    The manual conversion worked perfectly! I was hoping I was just missing something rather than having to fight with re-posing the character, but at least I know about the bone thing now and a way to get around it. :)
