Need help after installing Gen 4 Girl, Aiko, Freak

I can't figure out how to use my new Girl4, Freak4, or Aiko4. Please help.

I got all the Gen 4 Pro throwback packages and installed them all with the DIM. I already had V4, M4, and S4 base installed from the days before DIM. I thought the new ones would work like my previously installed S4, where powerloader would open when I added V4 or M4 to the scene, and offer me choices of what packages to load. But when I load V4, powerloader doesn't show anything for the Girl4 or Aiko4.

I didn't start using DS until the Genesis days, so I'm not very familiar with using the Gen4 characters. The old installers had separate powerloader install files, if I recall, but I can't find anything like that for my new DIM installed characters.

Edited to add: I did see "the Girl 4 Base PowerLoader" in the list of packages the DIM installed. I just didn't see any exe file I was supposed to run or anything. I assumed DIM must have done whatever it needed to do. The readme is no help, either.

They should have powerloaders. See my DIM image. The specific ones you're asking about have check marks (on the dim image, not the PL image).

Did you run a *.bat update file for V4 and/or M4 base to update with Girl4/Freak4/Aiko4 channels? ExP technology (the precursor to Genesis dsfs) doesn't auto add morph channels to figure and *.bat does that job.

DIM does this automatically, which he said he installed them through.

Thanks for the help and pictures. Those packages were installed by the DIM, but they don't show when my PowerLoader opens, like they do in yours.

No, I didn't run a bat file. I don't know where it would be. I see that Vaskania says DIM does that automatically. Maybe DIM couldn't find the bat file. Where should I look for it. Thanks for helping!

Are you sure you're using the Victoria 4.2 icon and not the V4.2 to V3 icon? The one you use shows only her head, and the other is a full frontal.

The bat files are located in \Runtime\libraries\!DAZ of the runtime you installed V4 and the other people to. DzCreateExPFiles-M4.bat and DzCreateExPFiles-V4.bat

You did install A4, G4, and F4 to the same runtime as M4 and V4, right?

    Uh Oh!!!!

V4 and M4 were originally installed in "My Library". Now The DIM installed V4, M4, G4, F4 into "My DIM Library". Both libraries are mapped in DS, so I can see them both. But now I have duplication of V4 and M4 in both libraries. The My DIM Library is listed first in the Content Library list.

I got into this mess, because I only intended to download my new Gen4 packages with DIM, but I had the "install after download" checked by mistake.

What do you suggest I do to straighten this all out? Should I uninstall them with DIM and then uninstall them from the old My Library and then reinstall them all with DIM?

No, I didn't get that quite right in my last message. DIM did not install V4 and M4, just G4 and F4. So they are just in different libraries.

Uninstall the ones from the library you're not using, and reinstall them to the one you do use. To make it easier, I'd probably do as you said, uninstall from both and reinstall with DIM into a single library.

I actually wasn't sure if separate runtimes would've caused this, but I caught that you said you still had libraries from pre-DIM and switched to DIM, so I took a chance. lol

For future ref, you can add your preferred library in DIMs settings (cogwheel in the upper right > installation tab > hit the + sign). Turn "Install after download" off on the Ready to Download tab, and tick "Show Details" on the Ready to Install tab. This will let you choose a library for the items you select. :)

So far so good. I have M4, V4, F4, S4, G4 straightened out. Now I have to do Reby Sky and Aiko 4.Do they look right? G4 seems very tall!

She looks right. I think it's her balloon of a head and slightly lengthened torso that makes her look tall.
