How come, Genesis 2 Female got these newly rigged toes

But yet, the original Genesis got no such thing. Hell, would be nice if the Gen4 models had them too

How come they haven't updated the rigging for their own figures?

Rigging of main figures is almost never updated unless there is a noticeable fault with it, because any significant change in rigging will break all conforming clothes for changed bones. While adding toes will probably be not as breaking as adding a second neck bone, some footwear will probably no longer work with changed bones.

V4, I believe, was the only who went through 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 editions.

Aside of that, DAZ3D wants us to switch to new shiny (and more limited) figure and buy all stuff for her and her male counterpart again, so they can have our money. They have to business reason to improve older figures.

You could, but Zev0's Toe Control morphs do a pretty good job of accomplishing the same thing. http://www.daz3d.com/toe-control-for-genesis

You can do it for your own projects, you just can't re-release it. I approached DAZ about rigging G1's toes with bones a while back and they said there was no way to do it that would be legal with the licensing. Zev was already working on his toe controls at that point and I knew he would make a great product, so I didn't worry about it.

Yeah, something tells me they could easily do it themselves

Morphs just won't cut it for me, morphs are for still frames, not aniamtion

I don't know how it fits into your workflow but you can, essentially, transfer G2F rigging into Genesis, toes and everything. The hybrid would take neither G2F not Genesis poses 100% well but will be instead something between both in range of motions. That and also you'd need to rework all clones.

Unless Male morphs can work well on Genesis 2

    That could solve that

You can unlock Genesis Original (neutral shape) in G2F and transfer male morphs such as M5 and H4 if you have them, from Genesis to G2F. Links on tutorials are in my signature. It could be be quite a lot of work, depending how many morphs you need, but still.

From Kattey's thread, I used Ben's method and put all of my morphs right into G2F at once.
