Problem with Auto-fit

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

When I drag a clothing article to the Victoria 6 (Genesis 2) character I am getting less options to auto-fit than normal. Victoria 4 does not show which is rather important. All that shows is:

Unsupported, Genesis 2 Male, and Genesis

By comparison, Victoria 7's auto-fits options include Victoria 4, Michael 4, and Genesis 2 Female. How can I get the Victoria 4 auto-fit option to show on a genesis 2 figure?

    Genesis 2 does not come with a Victoria 4 clone sahpe, that's an add-on product. Are you sure you own that, and that it is installed?

    I don't own anything that has "clone shape" in the title. I did a little research and found this Daz product- think it will it do the trick?

    oops.. the above mentioned product is a tutorial which requires this product....

    Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female   Is this what I'm looking for?

    You can also autofit from V4 to G2 without additional products:

    1) Load a G1 figure and a G2 figure
    2) Autofit your V4 garment to G1
    3) Auto-fit the garment from G1 to G2. (Edit -> Figure -> Fit To...)

    This method sometimes works just as well as using autofit clones, sometimes less. And in some cases it even works better than with clones!

    Do you think this method can get the item up to a G8F? Heck, I'll go try it and see

    Hey, it worked! I just got a michale four item to fit on a Genesis 8 Female and it looks great! Thanks for the tip!

    Glad I could help! I used to do this all the time with Generation 4 items and Genesis 8 figures. However, I now also own SY V4 & M4 Clone for G8, because it often does work better that way.
