Scene is crashing! {resolved, sorta}

My scene opens in DS4.6 with no problem other than mentioning it can't find my background file, which I no longer need anyway. I remove elements I do not need for the next scene and go to save the scene under a new name, and DS crashes.

I have my log, but really have no clue as to how to fix the problem..

    Does it crash with one of those "This application has blah blah ACCESS VIOLATION blah blah EAX = ... EBX = ... ECX = ... ESP = ..." dialogs, or just fold up silently?

    What do the last dozen or so lines from the bottom of the logfile look like?

    Presumably the hard drive that you're saving the new file to has lots of empty space? (just checking the obvious ;-)... ).

    It just closes down, with a bug report option. And yes, oodles of space.

    The last page of the log:

    That looks like it's in the midst of doing a render (perhaps for the icon?). What are the first few lines above the end that don't start with "Ran tdlmake on image..." ?

    If you try doing a test render manually (ie turn down resolution, turn up shading rate, etc etc), does it crash also?

    I'll email the full log.
