How to get LAMH working

Hi All,

How do I get LAMH to work. Both my Artic Fox (white hair) and Red Fox (green hair) show the LAMH in the pre render stage. But they are hairless when rendered.

I did check my Plug-ins and LAMH Catalyzer is green. Is there something in addition that I need??

Many thanks in advance, I know this is supposed to be easy, and probably is, except for me.

    1) Are you loading the Catalyzer version of the figures?

    2) Are you using the "Render" button in the LAMH Catalyzer panel (not the normal render button/menu choice)?

Both are required for an Iray render using Catalyzer to work.

Sorry to take so long to reply, to answer your question....but no to answer your question, I did for the Fox, but did not know about the different render button. So I will check it out this evening!!

MANY MANY THANKS for your help. Finding the second Render was the trick.

But a new problem, DAZ will either crash with no warning or crash with the pop up to contact Tech Support. At this point in time I don't know if it is a system problem or a DAZ problem.

What does the log file say (last couple of dozen lines before the crash)? This may give a clue.

Means you are probably out of memory - you should choose the 'safe render' method and optimize for memory & not speed.

Ya, Catalyzer is more system friendly & wise to use the safe mode with if having issues. The LAMH versions are pretty system intensive but quality wise you can't tell any difference.  The LAMH versions give you access to editing the guides & resulting hair plus ability to export for use in apps outside of Daz.
