Textures Question

i have recently bought a turtleneck jumper from the store and find the jumper looks too thick for my taste, how can I change it completely so it looks like a wetlook leather or pvc for example please?

The texture (or rather the material settings) won't chnage the way the item hangs, it's purely changing the way the item interacts with light.

Im not looking to change the way it hangs Imjust looking to change say a knitted look to another material look but having problems finding where i do that specifically.
