Animation and VR
Hello,
I am not a new user, but I am new to animation, so it feels like this belongs here. I just got a gear VR and created simple 3d Stereo Images, by using 2 cameras (eye distance apart) with spherical distortion.I put them together in Paint "side by side" and got stunning results, although I know there might be some better ways than spherical.distortion.First I would like to test some simple animations by the same principle, but I have two Problems:
1. After rendering (any) animation you get to choose, how you want to kompress the file. What ist the best option here? I chose not to kompress and let an external Program do it. Which one do you choose?
2. How do I put the two videos side by side. I tried 3 "free" Programs, but they all leave an Watermark, which is even more anoying in 3d Stereo, because, only one eye sees it. Is there a good free Program to do the job? I think the feature I am looking for, should be easy to implement, but it might not be very popular.
Thanks for any help

1. Render to an image sequence instead of straight to a video file.
ok, but then two more questions occure:
3. How do you merge the two images of each sequence to one "side by side" picture? Using Paint for each frame is a lot of work.
4. How do you get a movie (AVI File) out of the image sequence?
It's not soemthing I've done, but I think the answer to most of your other questions is to use an image editor. You might look at the Black Magic stuff - that is good and, I believe, has free versions.
I'm trying to learn to Animate in DAZ, but things were going very slowly.
I was looking for a fast way to animate, and found this VR animation video:

Not sure what VaM is though.
Some people say you can export from DAZ into it???
Anyone have any thoughts about VaM? What is it, can you buy it?
VAM is Virt-A-Mate.
I think that the free version of Hitfilm - known as Hitfilm Express would do the job you are looking for. It can turn indiviudal frames into animation and can place things side by side or in layers.
I answered you in this thread https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/271921/virtual-reality-is-there-a-future-for-daz-without-it#latest
I have been using VAM and VR for over a year now, so If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
