2x 1080ti (used) or rtx 2080ti

So I am in a situation where 1070 is not cutting it anymore. I make renders for a VN that I make a living of. So I want a decent setup. 
Now the question is. Go for a brand new rtx 2080 or buy 2x used gtx1080ti for more cuda cores. 

To note - I mainly use the beta daz since I like it more than the public version of daz.

    I'm not finding it right now, but there's a huge thread where people post the exact time comparison between their system, there you'll probably find many people with those configurations and see what's the best one!

    It may be worth waiting a bit to see if Iray is updated to take full advantage of the RTX features in the new cards - if it is that should boost performance, beyond the boost (over a single 10x0) compared to the current situation where they are faster but not necessarily by a sufficient margin to justify the price difference.

    If you need the perfomance boost now, get the 2x1080ti. Until IRay is updated to use the additional capacity of the RTX cards it's just not work the money for the 2080.

    Yeah, so bottom line is that it's impossible to say for now. 
    Either go for 2x 1080ti and be fine with it. Or wait to see if daz take advantage of the new tracing cores. 
    Sadly, due to it being work related I do not have the luxury to wait and see what will happen. 
    What a dilemma! Have to take a gamble

    You would be very happy with the perfromance of 1080TiX2.
