Mac: latest cuda driver 9.2 or older cuda 8 for OS Sierra 10.12?

Plan to use OS Sierra 10.12 on a Mac Pro.
Should I install cuda 8 driver, or get the latest driver: cuda 9.2? Nvidia page for cuda 9.2 driver aka 410.130 has a supported OS section that only mentions OS 10.13.
