why no aspect frame on startup

DS has slowly been changing stuff it loads by default 

I am using the latest beta

a while back possibly years it stopped saving my framerate preference loading 30 FPS everytime

there is also the 217 length on any saved animation longer than that

and now a new thing

the aspect frame has stopped showing in the viewport by default

not a big issue but annoying if I do a quick render and forget to look what settings I had for image size and dimensions, it still at least saves the last used for that

    nup I need to bring it up everytime

    it's a very recent development, started last year, a week ago

    I did think of something though,

    I am frequently cleaning out my various temp folders as other programs leave crap in them

    this one in particular

    http://C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp

    If temp folders aren't clearing and settings aren't sticking I'd suspect soemthing is interferring with the shut down sequence - if it's affecting multiple applications then the first suspect would be security software.

    its back again for now, it seems related to scenes I load and the setting then prevails
