Power Pose Crashes?

Just discovered PowerPose, seems a very useful and largely friendly animation tool.   Except that it routinely crashes DAZ.  I'm on Mac running Yosemite if that helps.  As best I can tell so far, the crashes seem to happen when you click on a control point in PowerPose that is outside of the character.

Given how new I am to both PowerPose and DAZ it seems entirely possible I'm doing something wrong.  Any tips will be most appreciated.   Thanks!

I should have added more detail.   The first thing that happens is that the character vanishes from the Viewport.  Then the Mac beach ball starts spinning.  When I go to force quit it shows DAZ as not responding, so I have no choice but to force quit.
