Turning Auto Filter off

The auto filter is very nice indeed. However to use some products you need to select that product and when you do all the options disappear. An example is the hair helper the tutorial says, double-click the helper, select the helper and select hair and that is where it ends for me because of the auto filter. Any way around this? Pretty sure there is I just am not looking in the right spot.

Are you talking about Filter by Context in Smart Content? If so there is a checkbox to turn that off at the bottom of the Smart Content pane.

Thank you. I would have never noticed that tiny checkbox.
