I'm not following - do you mean only some files show, or do you mean no files show for certain products?
I mean that some products when selected, have no assets that display. In the screenshot below, black widow spider and Blithe Charm for G8 Female are the examples.
I am curious because I was certain they had assets that were shown in the display when first installed.
Products and Categories still use thes database like Smart Content so if your database is messed up or something is blocking Content Management Service they wont work.
Check the product's readme page, then go to the indicated folder under Poser Formats or Daz Studio Formats - are the files there OK?
Yes, the files are there in their corresponding folders.
Do they have the content type tag at top-right (Actor, Materials, Wearables and so on)? It certainly sounds like a database issue, though i would expect to see either files or an icon for isntaling the product rather than nothing at all.
The products that do not have any displayed assets (searched for based on the install files list) do not have a content tag.
Over the last several months, i had taken the time to create my own catergories and assigned products as desired.. It was only in the last week that DS started acting hinky. When I would go to a categorized product, the assets in the folder would fail to display, slow after considerable time, or behave normally. I exported my user data. I reset the database and then re-imported the metadata, and finally the user data. Technically, all hinkiness was gone, but so where half of the product listings in my categories. Products were completely missing for the category, some had the product title but no assets assigned.
I am working to re-categorize the library, but discovered many of the products do not have assets when the product title is selected. I am trying to problem solve, since collecting all of the pieces of a product feels a bit like hide and seek, and adds exponentially to the time it takes to redo the library.
Carnivale (9730) has the asset files listed in the .dsx file - isn't this the information used to display the assets when selecting a product?
The .dsx files in /Runtime/Support is used when (re)importing metadata, but it isn't referred to in normal use.
