"Boyfriend" shirt problem

I've been trying to dress a character in a garment sized for another character with the garment staying the wrong size, and ideally dforce working on it properly. But every time I try the shirt morphs to fit or if I manually disable the morphs I can't get seem to get the thing on the character at all anymore.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a trick to this I don't know? Or what?

If this is for a still image you could try this:

    • Do not fit the shirt to the figure, simply load it
    • Apply the pose of the figure to the shirt to get the same basic position, and adjust if needed using scale / translation / rotation / morphs dials of the shirt

In addition to the above, I find much more realistic draping if I simply remove the pre-loaded weight mapping and apply a 100% dynamic paint (e.g. entire outfit is solid red in painting) which removes stuff like waistbands, necklines and shoulders from staying unrealistically static. You could probably make it even more realistic with more careful painting but the quality vs effort of just fully painting it is solid.
