How do you add a Tail a to Genesis 3 figure?

Hello everybody,

I have the Midnight Lycan for genesis 3 Male(s)  SKU:34229  https://www.daz3d.com/midnight-lycan-for-genesis-3-male-s

I would like to add a tail to the figure. I currently possess the following options and would like to know if there was any way to adjust them for the G3 figure or if there is any other tail options avalible for this model generation...

Easy Tail for Genesis SKU:17105  https://www.daz3d.com/easytail-for-genesis

M4/V4 creature creator Bundle  SKU:9611  https://www.daz3d.com/m4-v4-creature-creator-bundle

Cat world for genesis 8 Male(s)  SKU:49707  https://www.daz3d.com/cat-world-for-genesis-8-male-s

Cat world Regenesis HD bundle  SKU:18269  https://www.daz3d.com/cat-world-regenesis-hd-bundle

Cat world bundle set SKU:9523  https://www.daz3d.com/cat-world-bundle-set

When I attempt to Auto-fit the tail to the parent (Genesis 3 figure) I don't have the drop down option to select "genesis male" for the "what figure was the item orginally designed for"  nor is there a drop down option to pick from for the "what type of item is it" as the item is not supported. Even If it did support the genesis figure, what would I pick for the type of item, "pants" or just leave it blank?

Is there an auto-fit for genesis 3? Searching around I bumped into other products such as:

Genesis 2 male Clone for Genesis SKU:17774  https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-male-clone-for-genesis

Michael 4 for Genesis 2 Male  SKU:17664  https://www.daz3d.com/michael-4-for-genesis-2-male

Generation 5 Legacy Shapes for Genesis 2 male  SKU:17995  https://www.daz3d.com/generation-5-legacy-shapes-for-genesis-2-male

I don't understand the differences between auto-fit, clone, UV and so on.  I have no idea if any of this will help with my situation. I'm a bit overwhelemed by all this terminology. I would appreciate a description of what these things do. Are they independent of each other or do they somehow work together with the auto-fit?

Secondly, Should I get the tail to finally attach properly (not deformed by the auto-fit), is there a way to add some of the material texture from the Midnight lycan model to the tail since the model obviously doesn't supply/support one? Any suggestions or links to a tutorial would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your time and happy new years everybody.

Sincerely Jacob

P.S. I'm having the same situation with A horn I tried to add from the M4/V4 creature creator Bundle  SKU:9611  https://www.daz3d.com/m4-v4-creature-creator-bundle

The source figure would be Genesis, not Genesis Male, but Genesis 3 doesn't include clone shapes for Genesis - there are add-ons in the store, but in this case AutoFit would break the tail as it would remove all of the custom bones. It might be best simply to line the tail up using the tansform parameters, then parent it to the hip or pelvis (you may need to experiment) by dragging and dropping in the Scene pane or by right-clicking on the tail and selecting the Change Parent command.

I did as you said and positioned them how I liked then Parented them accordingly.  Doing so allowed me to still munipulate and move the character about and still have everything attached and following accordingly thanks a bunch.
