LAMH Preset Question

Hi there,

Is it possible to use a LAMH preset on a different figure than what it was originally made for? As an explanation...what I'm trying to do is build a "cat man" on a Gen3 base. I already have him built and am successfully using the material files and fur geoshell from the Gen8 Cat World. The reason I went with Gen3, is because there is no DAZ proprietary "creature creator" for Gen8. All of the PA products seem to be demon-based. I couldn't get the right nose/ears/mouth, and the Gen8 Cat World head, while nice, doesn't fit the race I'm trying build (Cathar from SWTOR).  Anyways...I'm not quite happy with just the geoshell fur. It looks good, but it looks more like stuffed animal fur...or if he had matted fur. I was really hoping to use the Cat World LAMH preset (which does actually work for the Gen8 base male). I tried building my own LAMH preset with the editor and I gave up in a fit of rage. It. Just. Would. Not. Stop. Crashing. I just couldn't do it. I was going to pull my own hair out while trying to build someone else's hair. Is there a way to use the Gen8 LAMH preset on the Gen3 body? Every time I try to load it, it says something along the lines of "compatible figure not found". 

I've attached a screenie so you can see the difference in the build, in that the Gen8 Cat World head...and so far anything I've been able to find for Gen8...wouldn't work. He's built off Damien Demon 7, which gives me the right muscular and lanky build along with the right nails...and the rest is mostly the DAZ Gen3 Creature Creator morphs. 

Please note - I'm not looking to transfer morphs between the generations...all I want to do is use the LAMH preset.
