Anyone know a product close to forsworn armor?

Anyone know if there is an outfit close to looking like the forswornd armor or a very skimpy version?  Also looking for one that has dynamic morphs.  Or if anyone can make one I'd be happy with that too. Thank you.

  • All thos eyou left I looked at too but it doesn't come close to what I'm trying to find unfortunately.  Do people do requests like vendors who make stuff, do they take requests? If so, maybe I'll do that to see if someone can make an outfit for G8 for me like from Skyrim.

  • i don't know but they pretty much look like forsworn to me. The thing is, you don't need to be 100% accurate about it. Forsworn are dressed with wool, leather and bones. If you want some games references, try to check Skyrim.

Are you looking for the vanilla look that comes with skyrim or a modded version like ChronoTriggers version?

  • Wait...I can actually use the meshes and textures from the game as an outfit from Skyrim in Daz?

mods extract too, I have a few Skyrim mods I extracted the mesh and textures from

they are all in dds format but fortunately iray and 3Delight both render that even though openGL can be a bit fussy displaying it, you do need to manually load every map though as no mtl file from nifskope, and there will be about 5 sets of overlapping geometry that needs to be deleted using the geometry editor as they export with levels of detail, its rather a lot of twiddling around and don't even think about Dforce it will all fall apart.

well you need to export the objs from your Skyrim Meshes bsa using Nifskope first and extract the textures using BSAopt from the Skyrim Textures bsa

then you can import the object via import and apply the textures in surfaces

the links I gave you have tutorials on the first part and there are plenty of tutorials in the DAZ wiki on importing objects and using the transfer utility

I might add if you do succeed it is strictly for your own use and fan art renders no distribution of mesh and textures and nothing commercial unless you want Besthesda suing you!

Know what...even though its fan art...I may not do it now that you said that..Lol.

This image uses meshes straight out of Morrowind.  If its just for fan art and you are not giving it away or selling it, you are fine.

It could be a scale issue. many times when I import game meshes they are very small.

    check the opacity/ cutout opacity

and yes scale could be anything I never can guess

to rig it you will need to re-export it first after sizing to the figure, its not really as simple as it seems the pose won't be right either

thing is ive tried lots of sizes so far and its still not showing up. would it be because when i exported it it made also a mat file?

you usually need the mat file for most things but DS just ignores it like it does most objs mat files its fussy

    should not make a difference

it will be scaling and opacity but you can check it in another software

this size or if its actually not exported right?

  • I guess no one is going to answer that question. :(

  • Actually...nvm. I may have a better idea for what I need.

  • well not being at your computer I have no way of answering

you have other software that can import obj like Blender, Wings3D or propviewer?

just something to see if you have a geometry file

then its scalings or opacity or both

no geometry file then its an export issue

you need to export all of it ignore the warnings about compatibility in Nifskope

  • I have been told not to discus the ripping of mesh from games even on your own computer for your own use no redistribution like I do so sorry if I do not contribute much more to this thread

No its alright. I  found a better thing to use for my purposes.  Honestly, the whole ripping of meshes and trying to use them in blender or maya to restructure them may take longer than I want.  I found something better to use.  Thank you though Wendy.
