How do I reveal the buttons behind this tab?

Just following a tutorial on creating layouts but noticed a small problem - https://imgur.com/a/e79nrgn

When I minimise the panes the buttons reveal themselves, but when I extend them they show in-front of the buttons I want to see instead of next to them. It's a difficult problem to describe, but basically how do I make it so that the viewport in the center of the screen resizes when I extend the right-hand tabs instead of being behind them?

That's a fairly well-known issue. The Viewport needs a certain minimum size to show the controls. If you minimize the tab panes on the left side, or make both sides a little narrower, you should be able to see the controls.

Close the two Shader related tabs.

Notice both sides are expanded and the viewport buttons are visible. Clicking to hide the left panel does show the buttons though. :/

It depends on the screen resolution. jestmart is correct, close the Shader Mixer/Shader Builder where theye are docked with the Viewport.
