Animation Questions
I really like the feature of DAZ where you can line up various built-in poses on the timeline and DAZ generates the transitions between them. Very easy animation!

QUESTION #1: I'm hoping to do this same thing using my own custom poses, instead of the built-in poses. Is this possible? I see how to save a pose, but I'm unable to re-import the saved pose back in to DAZ, always getting this error in the log:
Invalid node selection for "preset_pose" type.
Ideally, I'd like my own custom poses to be available somewhere in the DAZ interface, so I can just double click on them as I do with built-in poses. Possible?

QUESTION #2: I'd like to be able to save animations, and then re-import them back in to program, and line up a series of saved animations on the timeline one after another, much as one might do with movie clips in a movie editor. Is this possible, or am I trying to impose the 2D movie editing paradigm in a way that is inappropriate for 3D work?
I am able to save a single animation to a duf file and then re-open that single animation in DAZ.

Many thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Q1 Sure it's possible. To apply one of your own saved poses, just select the character, find your pose preset and doubleclick!
You should be able to find your pose presets in smart content/saved files/preset/pose or along those lines (you need to select your character), or go to the content library pane/DAZ Studio Formats/My Library/presets/poses.
Q2 Yup totally possible:) Make your animation, select the character, save as a pose preset. In the pose save options dialogue box choose animated range and specify the start- and end frame. You then apply the animated pose the same way as a single frame pose by selecting the character and double clicking. It will be loaded into the timeline starting at the current frame.
Wow, thanks Sven, I get it now, much appreciated.
I wasn't getting this part...
Once I got that it all came in to place, very easy.
You've revolutionized my animations, I've progressed all the way from nothing to something! I'm very advanced now, very advanced. :-)
Seriously, thanks, this is really going to help.
