Subsurface toon shaders making tiger-like bands?

Notice the strange patterning? This happens every time I try to render a scene, and I have no idea what's up! Once I get it working though, it looks like it'll be a really nice addition :)

Please post an image cropped to show only the upper torso, or with the figure wearing shorts.
There's good coverage of things to check in the thread on the SSS - things to check include the Shading Rate and Shading Scale, that surfaces that shouldn't affect each other have different Group ID values, and that surfaces with the same Group ID have other SSS settings the same. Banding can also be down to too high a Shadow Bias settings in your shadow-casting lights.
Ah, sorry. I assumed the "above waist" thing only applied to genitals, not blank skin maps (at least the default male genesis one). Which thread are you talking about?

The most common cause is usually having surfaces in the same group set at different shading scales - need to have them the same scale if in the same group to avoid conflict.
