[House for a big family] Anyone knows a product where i can put 5 people in it? I mean doesn't need to be a single product but it has to match the colors and such and genre (contemporary). Would be nice 5 bedrooms. Thank you.

Bah, I was up too late last night and got up too early this morning.... and have been fighting drowsiness a bit....  My brain wanted to read that as "A horse for a big family," and pictured 5 or 6 people trying to ride on the back of ONE stalllion.  0O

    HAH!

https://www.daz3d.com/collective3d-long-island-mansion (like an east coast house a doctor or lawyer with a big family might have)

https://www.daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=dream home (multiple products - more like a mostly empty modern day millionaire mansion)

The thing is i don't need to if i put the camera in the right way. Its like in movies, you don't see the staff. Not to say anything bad against the products but they do look good for an anime, not for a Genesis 8 HD...

  • Assuming you're not making an animation in which you're doing tracking shots of people walking from one room to the next, I wouldn't try to find a product that represents a whole five-bedroom house inside and out.

So find an exterior that has the size and look you're after, then find (or build) individual room sets that could go inside it. Imagine you're making a film or TV show - the exterior is shot on location, the interiors are shot on a sound stage.

The Maclean products already listed are perhaps a little bit dated (though easily freshened up with some new shaders), try Create a Room and its expansions for a more recent version of the same idea.

I did say that it doesn't need to be a full product, by all means it can be 5 different bedrooms for an example but the style must be somewhat the same... Sadly there isn't a Mansion full equipped with high graphics...

The Dream Home has a lot of nice features.  The rooms are separate, but they fit together modularly.  And they have the exteriors as well.  Putting the whole thing together would tax most of our computers, for sure.  But you can use one room, or add an adjoining room.  And they have different styles.  If you're in the PC+ club, they're all pretty inexpensive.  Most of the modules/rooms are $1.99 for PC+.

    They look fine.

It's a room: floor, ceiling, walls, doors, windows. Mostly just plain flat surfaces, all you need to do is apply iray glass shaders to the windows and metal shaders to the door furniture. There's really nothing to it.

What will make the difference is the way you dress the set - the furniture and other objects that fill the room. But these too could be old (or even free) content that you refresh with new shaders.
