Gift Card

Each time I want to purchase a gift card I spend a "dazsoon" amount of time looking for a link to buy it. I feel so stupid asking since I have purchased them before but would someone please post a link here so that I can find it. It would be greatly appreciated!

Typing gift in the search box works for me - I refuse to bookmark the page, that would be an admission.
Oh, that's bizarre. "Gift Certificates" shows up on the bottom of the page under "Daz 3D" on the forums, but it doesn't show up down there in the store.
You're not the only one, I've never found a link anywhere in the store that will let me buy the gift card. I've just resorted to the search method, if you search for "gift card" it takes you directly to the purchase page.
Thanks for bringing this up. I wasn't even aware it was an issue until I read this thread. I've spoken with one of our front end developers about this and he's pretty confident that we can find somewhere to put a link. The only question is where would it the best place be. If anyone has suggestions feel free to post them.
Perhaps on the slider popup when you hover with your mouse over the "SHOP" link at the top of the site? There's where I always go when I am going to shop and looking for a specific category.
I agree with Estroyer. That shop hover page would be the logical place I would look for it too. Also, the old store had a link at the bottom of the pages with all the info and stuff. I think placing a link in the Products category too would also be helpful.
I'd vote for the SHOP hover too (logical and easier than having to search for "gift card" every time - and I have used it a frightening number of times this year!)
I'd agree that a link on the Shop hover would be good.
You might also think about adding a link to it on the sidebar that's on the left of things like the PC or Fastgrab pages. Maybe under the current PC Membership button or even as a text link under "Steals & Deals" in the gray "Shop" box.
Tried to say thanks earlier but the forum wouldn't let the post go through. So here's a belated Thank You!
You can also just scroll all the way to to the bottom of this page, and at the bottom right under a "DAZ" heading is "Gift Certificates". It's the only place I can remember to look. Why it's not instead or additionally on bottom left under Store I don't know.
The forum won´t let you say "thank you", if you already said that in exactly the same words to someone else. It is a anti-spam feature. You have to word your sentence differently or add another sentence or word(s) (just enough so that it differs from your previous post) and then it will come through.
or even spaces or enter before typing it
Aha! Thanks again! I'm learning a lot today :-)
What's wrong with making this consistent and having it appear in the every-page-on-the-whole-DAZ-site footer? That's where it was before, that's where I always looked for it, and over eight years of buying DAZ stuff I never needed to look anywhere else. Until the site changeover and I never saw it again — I must have been always looking while I was in a store page. Because I was... maybe... wanting to buy something? :-/
(Now I'm wondering just how many other things are still — after well over a year — never being used in the new store because no-one can find them...)
This may be as good as place as any to also mention about having a double-check on the email one is sending to ... we type it once [actually I copy/paste but still] and that's it. The whole process never double checks anywhere and it is with great relief to see it land in one's mail box.
I'd hate to buy one for any large amount of money and mail it to the wrong address!
It defaults to our address as sender, could it not as well to be receiver?
Or maybe have a simple tick box on the store page for "send it to myself"? I'm sure there was something like that when I bought gift certificates in the last store, but it's been so long I've forgotten exactly what it was like (except I'm sure we never had to type in our own names and addresses).
While we're on the subject, does anyone else have the text entry boxes "overflow" onto the next line as soon as the green "OK" tick appears at the end of the box? A bit off-putting, to begin with I thought the thing was broken in some odd way I'd never seen exposed to real customers before in a live store page.

... edit ...
Yes there was something that didn't rely on our accurateness at 2 a.m. ;-)
